Known as "Bulging Eyes," Makapuu is at the south-eastern end of Oahu. The cliff  is at the eastern-most tip of the island and is the site of a landmark lighthouse. The entire area is picturesque with a breathtaking panoramic view presented at the Makapuu lookout. Rabbit Island (a protected bird sanctuary) is just offshore and makes this location an ideal setting for landscape.
